"Extended Cross-Product" and Solution of a Linear System of Equations

چکیده
Many problems, not only in computer vision and visualization, lead to a system of linear equations or and fast and robust solution is required. A vast majority of computational problems in computer vision, visualization and computer graphics are three dimensional in principle. This paper presents equivalence of the cross–product operation and solution of a system of linear equations or using projective space representation and homogeneous coordinates. This leads to a conclusion that division operation for a solution of a system of linear equations is not required, if projective representation and homogeneous coordinates are used. An efficient solution on CPU and GPU based architectures is presented with an application to barycentric coordinates computation as well.

Jacobi Operational Matrix Approach for Solving Systems of Linear and Nonlinear Integro-Differential Equations
This paper aims to construct a general formulation for the shifted Jacobi operational matrices of integration and product. The main aim is to generalize the Jacobi integral and product operational matrices to the solving system of Fredholm and Volterra integro--differential equations which appear in various fields of science such as physics and engineering. The Operational matr...
متن کاملABS-Type Methods for Solving $m$ Linear Equations in $frac{m}{k}$ Steps for $k=1,2,cdots,m$
The ABS methods, introduced by Abaffy, Broyden and Spedicato, aredirect iteration methods for solving a linear system where the$i$-th iteration satisfies the first $i$ equations, therefore a system of $m$ equations is solved in at most $m$ steps. In thispaper, we introduce a class of ABS-type methods for solving a full rowrank linear equations, w...
متن کاملExtension of Cube Attack with Probabilistic Equations and its Application on Cryptanalysis of KATAN Cipher
Cube Attack is a successful case of Algebraic Attack. Cube Attack consists of two phases, linear equation extraction and solving the extracted equation system. Due to the high complexity of equation extraction phase in finding linear equations, we can extract nonlinear ones that could be approximated to linear equations with high probability. The probabilistic equations could be considered as l...
متن کاملConvergence of product integration method applied for numerical solution of linear weakly singular Volterra systems
We develop and apply the product integration method to a large class of linear weakly singular Volterra systems. We show that under certain sufficient conditions this method converges. Numerical implementation of the method is illustrated by a benchmark problem originated from heat conduction.
متن کاملGeometric Algebra, Extended Cross-product and Laplace Transform for Multidimensional Dynamical Systems
This contribution describes a new approach for solving linear system of algebraic equations and differential equations using Laplace transform by the extended-cross product. It will be shown that a solution of a linear system of equations Ax=0 or Ax=b is equivalent to the extended cross-product if the projective extension of the Euclidean system and the principle of duality are used. Using the ...
متن کاملNewton-Product Integration for a Stefan Problem with Kinetics
Stefan problem with kinetics is reduced to a system of nonlinear Volterra integral equations of second kind and Newton's method is applied to linearize it. Product integration solution of the linear form is found and sufficient conditions for convergence of the numerical method are given. An example is provided to illustrated the applicability of the method.
